MID — Measuring Instruments Directive
All water meters, heat meters and utility metering instruments supplied by Metricon Industrial are sourced from manufacturers holding valid MID (2014/32/EU) type approvals. MID certification ensures legal metrology compliance across the European Economic Area for fiscal and billing applications.
EN 1434 — Heat Meter Standard
Heat meters in our catalog comply with EN 1434 (Parts 1–6), the European standard for heat meters used in district heating, commercial and residential applications. Instruments are classified to MID Class 2 accuracy.
ISO 4064 — Water Meter Standard
Cold and hot potable water meters meet ISO 4064 — the international standard for water meters for cold potable water and hot water. This applies specifically to the WMC UNICO-SD/15-P and related single-jet meters.
OIML R49 — International Recommendation
Applicable instruments conform to OIML R49, the international recommendation for meters for cold potable water and hot water, serving as the basis for MID annex MI-001 certification.
